Charges Policy

Publication Fee (Article Processing Charges – APC)

Trends in Medical and Biological Sciences (TMBS) does not charge any submission fee, maintaining an open and inclusive policy for researchers worldwide. However, a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable only upon acceptance of a manuscript.

The APC supports the sustainability of the journal and covers:

  • Management and coordination of peer review

  • Professional editing, formatting, and production (PDF and other formats)

  • Website hosting, maintenance, and secure archiving

  • DOI registration and indexing with international databases (e.g., CrossRef)

  • Global dissemination and open access availability of published articles

Note for Authors in Pakistan

As Pakistan is classified as a lower-middle income country, the applicable APC for authors affiliated with Pakistani institutions is:

PKR 30,000 (upon acceptance)

Waiver Policy

  • APC may be waived for authors who are Premium Members of Scholar Club.

  • Authors seeking a waiver should contact the editorial office before or immediately after acceptance.

Important Notice on Withdrawal Policy

While TMBS does not maintain a formal blacklist, submitting a manuscript without genuine intent to publish—particularly for the purpose of obtaining reviewer feedback—is strongly discouraged. Such actions may result in disqualification from future submissions.
